WHO WE ARE
I have been walking dogs in Leslieville and the surrounding areas since 2014. I came from a background in family support and disability services. It gave me a strong sense of duty of care and advocacy for those who deserve our support. I take pride in providing a dependable, safe and enriching service for your best friend.
As much as we know about dogs, we can always learn more. At The Extra Mile we are passionate about continuing to learn from those at the forefront of dog behaviour in order to keep up with current best practice.
In my spare time I take my beloved hound dog Zuzu for walks in the ravine, devise new games for her busy little mind and spend time being creative and crafty.
OUR SERVICES
For us, there is no greater joy than a life shared with dogs. Dogs are our family, they give us so much comfort and friendship. They are worth every chewed sneaker, every walk in the rain, every muddy little paw print. At The Extra Mile, your dog becomes a part of our family.
Group walks
Your pup will go out for a good hour of exercise with a carefully curated group of like minded buddies. We mostly focus on leashed walks around the neighbourhood, occasionally visiting a secure off leash unless otherwise specified.
puppy visits
Are you excited to introduce a new family member? We’re excited too! At The Extra Mile we love puppies. It’s such a privilege to come on board at the beginning of a dogs journey. We want to support you on that journey, socialising your pup, making sure they get out on time, cleaning up any accidents and getting on board with your training process.
Private walks
Does your pup have a hard time getting along with others, are they shy or nervous? It sounds like our private walks are perfect for you. We will get on board with your training routine and help your dog stay on track with their progress.
Cat visits
You can be dog people AND cat people! Who knew? We will visit your feline friends, feed them, refresh water, clean litter and spend time getting to know them and engaging in whatever they enjoy

Sinead has been walking my dog Gil for over 3 years. He loves her and waits impatiently at the window every day for her to arrive. Even my cat comes out to see her and he won't come out for anyone else.

First and foremost we pride ourselves on safety. Your dog can expect the highest standard of care while under our watch.
The Extra Mile is fully bonded and insured, as well as pet first aid certified. We will get to know your dog, what their needs are, their likes and dislikes and do our very best to curate a walk with their happiness and safety in mind.
